Rise and Shine: The magic fish in Prague

The purpose of the work is to recreate the lost fish sculpture “Rise and Shine Magic Fish” by Kate Malone and reinvent its magic to the suburbs in Prague. The original fish was used to attract more visitors in order to develop Hackney, the suburb area of London. The story of the fish happened after it got lost. The fish, rather that got stolen, swam into the ponds in the suburbs of Prague. It used its magic with vivid pose and shining colorful glaze to bring energy and attention to Prague suburbs. Its trip not only represents the meaning of Kate Malone’s work, but also a journey of myself, viewing the new culture and life in Prague.
